Director's Statement:

In the summer of 2006, I studied at the Prague Art Academy (AVU) for six weeks. I am fascinated by the changing lights in the ancient city of Prague during the evening twilight hours when the sun had already set, but the sky is still blue, and the orange street lights turn on. The strange mythical feeling from the place mingled with my position as a foreigner struggling to associate with another culture, leads to a short story written during the long hours I spent in cafes and bookstores. The story was later adapted into a video project that is to be titled "Orange Blues".

Excerpt from Script:

The time now is 18:45. I can't find you anywhere in my dreams, Where are you? While waiting I made Origami, paper cranes of all colors, hundreds of them all piled up in my bag now. I wish the rain could stop, then I could probably dump the whole lot out of the window and maybe they will fly. Cranes fly. Do they? Maybe not the real ones, but I'm sure paper cranes do.

The time is still 18:45. When will time move on? I hope that you are doing fine now. With that eternal burden on your back, it must have been really tough living huh? I have a small request. I... I hope you can pull me along. Doesn't add too much weight. Does it?

The time now is still 18:45. Time is probably not around anymore. Soon the bus will be entering the tunnel, there are no working lights in or outside the bus, and I will be plunged into a pitch black space. Like always before, I have two choices, to look back or forward. To look at the rear is to see the radiant glow of a circle shrinking till it becomes a dot and gets dragged into the darkness. Looking forward, I hope to see the white dot surface from the darkness in all its fullness and encompass everything. But no. It's not appearing. Its dark. I looked up, and all I see is a half moon laughing sinisterly at me.
