A man living and working in a foreign land, had a cold relationship with Hiroko, his roommate and co-worker. Disillusioned by reality, he left the city and entered into the woods, looking for a place that he remembered in his dreams.
Excerpt from script:
I sat on my loft bed, back facing the wall. Having receded into the dark corner of the room, I am deeply connected with my surroundings. I turned my face and looked into my room. It is still the same room, covered with newspaper, every inch, every foot of it, the walls, the floor, the ceiling. It does not look normal at all, but I am not surprised either. I climbed down from my loft bed and walked towards the opposite corner of the room. I stretched out my hand and reached out towards the newspaper. It wasn't exactly glued to the wall, just pasted at the corners by tape. I pressed my palm against it and examined the tiny rays of light seeping through the contours of my hand. Slowly, I tored out a segment of the newspaper, formally inviting the light into the room. Crushing the paper in my hand, I rolled it into a small ball. As I proceeded to remove the rest of the newspaper the ball got bigger, and the room brighter. Eventually the room became empty, new and white. In the center of the room was a gigantic paper ball. Satisfied, I sat on the floor, back leaning against the wall and stared intensely at the strange object. Slowly I drifted into another space.
